Team Volunteer Positions
1. Assistant Coach / Manager: LNGS requires
Assistant Coaches to take Safe Haven training and attend the
manager's meeting.
2. Team Parent: It is highly recommended that
coaches recruit a Team Parent (mom or dad) to be the dugout supervisor,
team snack coordinator, parent liaison and team information
facilitator. Alternatively, you may want to recruit another
person to assume the Team Snack Coordinator responsibilities to
lessen the load on the Team Parent.
3. Team Snack Bar Coordinator (different from the
Team Snack Parent): In order to efficiently run the snack bar, LNGS
requires that each team designate a parent to coordinate their
team's snack bar schedule. Responsibilities include scheduling
families to cover the snack bar during the team's assigned times.
The team could be assigned up to six shifts for the season.
Each family needs to volunteer one person per assigned shift.
No one under 16 may work in the snack bar. Weekday snack bar
shifts are for 3-4 people for 2 hours. Weekends require 5-6
people per team.
The Snack Bar Coordinator is also responsible
for the CDC (discount) cards. Each girl needs to sell 3 cards. ($10.ea)
4. Team Sponsor: Each team needs at least one sponsor: $250.00
team sponsor after your team meeting. Checks should be written to LNGS.
5. Banner Coordinator: The Banner person is
responsible for the creation of the banner and collecting any
additional money from the team to cover the cost. The team
banner should include the team name, player names, the sponsor's name,
and Coaches & Team Parent names. The Tall Mouse or
The Cannery or any craft store can design and create team banners.
6. Scorekeeper: Responsible to keeping score
for the team. Instructions for running the scoreboard are
available on the Fields & Equipment
page.
7. Fields Coordinator: Arrives at least 1 hour
before game time to prepare the field before games. Guidelines
on field preparation are available on the
Fields & Equipment page.
8. Chaperone: One of the Adult Volunteers on our team must be a woman 18
